Purpose

This module was developed to allow buyers to connect with suppliers, giving our clients the ability to sell listings in the directory to suppliers, distribute leads to them from site visitor 'buyers' via email, and store the activity in a database leveraging lead activity which could be sold to others.


Description

Buyers Guide(s) and Directories is a robust module which provides a search-able directory to your site visitors, which allows them to select and contact many vendors at once, and send an email expressing their interest to buy. (Example: This can include many permeations...maybe your site visitors are looking for contractors to bid on a job. The site visitor can select the vendors that meet the qualifications (by searching); select all that they are interested in bidding, and then they can email the lot of vendors, including the ability to upload specifications and requirements. This email will be distributed to all vendors selected with a message 'This lead courtesy of 'X' Client'....adding value to your relationship with your listing partner. All activity for this module, is stored in its own Reporting module, that enables you to export valuable lead information (between buyer and seller) for your records, and to be re-sold to others vendors trying to reach those buyers. Buyers Guide(s) and Directories makes Oxcyon's client the intermediary between buyers and sellers, and represents a good reason for site visitors to come back to your portal again and again.

Buyers Guide listings allows you to better manage your directory listing products, and expand the breadth and range of companies who want to be in your listing (small, medium and large).


How To Use

You will find this module under the Directories tab of your Client Console. The module is used to track each of your vendors, and may be entered manually (one-by-one), data imported (from your back office data), entered by the Vendor via the Buyers Guide Wizard, or all of the above.

Each record is able to have Company name, address, contact information, a full description which could include a full web page equivalent to a 10 page Word Document, including photographs, the ability to upload White Papers or Company brochure, assign taxonomy (the classifications and products/services that this company represents), and premium advertisement assignment such as: Enhanced Listing (this vendor will appear above all others in the search results regardless of the alphabetical sort), Ad Banner, Hotlink to their actual website, and logo. Each of these premium advertisement assignments can be controlled based on what you wish to give or sell to your vendors in this space.

The Reporting module is found within the Reporting tab of your Client Console, and will allow you to see and export activity from the Buyers Guide/Directories module, showing a listing of site visitors, which vendors they have contacted, and the information sent to them. This allows you to prove the value of your listing in your site, and also gives you rich lead generation to sell (as listings or email broadcast lists) to other vendors who may not be in your vendor listing.


Tips About This Module

Many clients already manage this information in a database, sometimes using complex Codes to identify and relate companies to industry classifications or product types that they offer. In some cases this can extend to include not only the Companies (Vendors within the directories) but their Distributors, Resellers, Remote Locations, Contacts, and even the product that they carry.

Oxcyon's Buyers Guide Directories module can keep up with whatever need you may have, and takes advantage of its XML-based Data import/export functions to allow easy integration between your back office database and the website, allowing 'your' data to be imported into this module, and activity reports collected, 'exported' from the site, to be re-used and manipulated by you, as needed.
