Purpose

Intended Use: This module was developed in response to the client demand of needing to move their content from accessible to non accessible based on a fee vs. free access. As more clients move toward a paid content model (for some types of content) or who periodically need to retroactively protect content available on the web this tool makes it easy. Simply select the module containing the records that you would like to change, and you can select the start date, end date ranges of all records, and switch them from public<->private whenever you like.

How To Use

Click on the 'Change Access Level' within the Admin tab of your Client Console. It will then ask you which module you would like to change the access level 'for'. Select the module, and then select the date range of the records you would like to change (either from public to private, private to public, or public or private to both and vice versa). This will allow all of those records to be changed, giving different Access Levels of records to different people.

Tips About This Module

Notes on this module: This module is mostly used by publishers, who will change their content types in response to growing or shrinking activity to their site. (Example: A site which offers paid news content only, may suffer lower activity as non members seek free content. This tool allows for areas of the site to be made available during these low periods, and conversely locked up, during the high traffic periods..at the discretion of each client.
