Purpose

This module was developed to allow clients to 'merge' duplicate member records which may be created on the site (either by design or by accident). Often with newsletter sign ups or other offerings....a member may sign up for one thing, and at another time sign up for something else. This could result in duplicate member records...especially if they use different names, criteria, etc. Member merge allows a joining of member records by the email address....flattening out this information so that you will always have one record regardless of the many items they opt in or opt out for.

Description

As the list and menu of options grow on a site....contest, email newsletters, sign ups...the risk of managing duplicate members increases. Member merge gives you the housekeeping utilities you need to flatten out these members.
