Purpose

The purpose of this module is to give clients the ability to 'receive' and 'consume' RSS feeds from other resources, and re-present within the framework of their website.

Description

This module allows for multiple RSS feeds from other websites to be 'consumed' within your site, and re-presented within your site design. This enables robust integration with third party data which you may be licensed or free to collect and re-distribute.

How To Use

This module is found under the Design tab of your Client Console. Click on new to add a new record. Simply add the RSS Syndication script (from the source where you found it), and apply which Site it belongs to. You will then be able to see all of this information feeding to the homepage of that site.

Tips About This Module

As RSS Syndicated feeds (by themselves) would not deliver a suitable 'homepage' for your site, it is recommended that an audience type or site be created within your portal, simply to manage industry-related RSS newsfeeds (from other sources). This module can also support RSS Feeds of your own (Created with the XML/RSS Syndication Tool under the Admin tab)...and is often used as a news page including a variety of RSS feeds (a culmination of both your feeds and feeds from other resources) giving your users a robust one page view of what is happening in your industry.
