Purpose
This module was developed to allow clients to convert and manage existing static HTML web-based forms (developed from scratch) to live within the Centralpoint environment, offering the same HTML functionality of the form, but taking over the email distribution and database capture of the information submitted.
Description
This module allows for conversion and management of existing static HTML web-based forms (that you or your team have previously developed from scratch) to live within the Centralpoint environment, offering the same HTML functionality of the form, but taking over the email distribution and database capture of the information submitted. This module is typically used with very long and cumbersome web-based forms which have been coded for your old site, and may not be worth developing a new module for.
Using this module will allow you to collect information from clients, like you used to, but now be able to store collected information in a database, and provide more robust triage over the distribution of the emails that come in from this form, allowing you to manage the recipient's email address, carbon copy email address, and even the 'incoming' subject line of these forms.
How To Use
This module is found within the Forms tab of your Client Console. Click on Smart Forms, and click on new. This will allow you to give your form a title, copy and paste the HTML from your static (former) form, and paste it into centralpoint. It will then ask you where you want this form to live within your site (within what site navigation area), manage content around your form (at the top or bottom, if desired), and instruct Centralpoint as to who is suppossed to receive incoming submissions for this form (and any carbon copy recipients.).
Once you have done this, this HTML form will work just as it used to on your old site, but capturing all submissions to the database within the reporting module entitled Reporting/Smart Forms, and triaging email distribution to the recipients assigned to this form.
